Standard Rooms

All rooms at Plantation Lodge have their own individuality and offer all the amenities required for ultimate relaxation. The Standard Rooms are peppered throughout the garden and many have verandas with direct access to the garden. Each day fresh bouquets of flowers are used to set decorative accents in the rooms.

Family Bamboo Unit

This suite offers two bedrooms that are separated by a hallway and bathroom allowing for maximum privacy. This unit is designed especially for families of up to four with children aged below the age of 16. The children’s bedroom has two single beds. Folding doors lead to an inner sitting space from both bedrooms.

Garden House

The Garden House is designed with larger groups in mind and has four double bedrooms. Space is abundant and set over two floors. The house’s interior is designed to nothing but please, from the upper fireplace room with its lounge seating to the stairs which lead down to a spacious dining room with its impressive table. A veranda offers spectacular views of the picturesque hills beyond and is the ideal place for a sundowner.

Food and Drink

Plantation Lodge is renownded for its high quality cuisine. Fine dining is offered in stylish and comfortable surroundings where a good wine from the expansive wine cellar rounds off the culinary experience. Lunch and afternoon coffee tends to be served alfresco at the garden tables.

Passion, a huge enjoyment of the culinary arts and a sustained openness to new recipes are the things the kitchen tem draw upon to endulge their guests each day. All the vegetables, salads and herbs are grown in the garden while other ingredients are sourced from local suppliers.

Plantation Lodge is heavenly. It is well located for exploring the highlands of Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and of course the Ngorongoro Crater.

The Lodge is beautiful, stylish, well-appointed and surrounded by picturesque landscapes.
