The Retreat Selous, is a twelve-suite exquisite hideaway that offers complete seclusion in the heart of remote bush lands.

Elephants, lions, black rhinos, leopards, wild dogs, giraffes, hippos and crocodiles and more than 400 different birds can be seen among many other wildlife.

Accommodation

The accommodation at Retreat Selous is mounted on raised teak wood platforms, raised to a height of over 6 metres and protected by two layers – a strong mosquito net as an inner wall and heavy duty canvas on the outer side. All suites can be fully opened to the sounds, breeze and full view of the nature!

The suites are finished with beautiful bespoke furnishings, which have been blended to create a unique sense of comfort and natural luxury using principles of Feng Shui and interior design:

Local and international cuisine, produce is brought in from coastal regions and prepared by The Retreat’s skilled chefs, who are trained under Wolfgang Kuchler, a leading 18 point Gault Millau cook from Switzerland.
